Long Haulers: Post covid 19 Ongoing symptoms

A large percentage of people that get the Sars-Cov 2 Infections (Covid) are experiencing a chronic symptom complex that may develop into a persistent symptom complex named “Long Haulers”
Sar-Cov 2 can have chronic consequences that is recognized by the standard medical system. As discussed by John's Hopkins As discussed by the CDC Estimates indicate that up to 1/2 people that are infected by Sars CoV 2 have ongoing symptoms 6 months after the infection resolves. I do not think we have a full idea of the damage Covid can cause, because long term endothelial cell damage may be related to cardiovascular disease, neurologic diseases, lung diseases and digestive issues...and it'll take time to determine what all those effects may be. Due to the possibility of long term damage, I think it's critical that people try to prevent the spread of Covid, and also get the vaccine to reduce the possible damage that it can cause.
This symptom complex includes POTS, memory loss, fatigue, brain fog and exercise intolerance. Long Haulers disorder is currently under study. Information about POTS from John Hopkins POTS program
POTS, an acronym for Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, is a blood circulation disorder that includes dizziness when changing position and fast heart rate. There are POTS specialists in MD-land (allopathic medicine) but the treatment is limited.
Currently, I feel that the proper focus of research on Long Haulers should include:
Adrenal dysfunction
Sympathetic overload
Chronic inflammation
Endothelial dysfunction (including nitric oxide signaling and where applicable tight junction integrity and leaky gut)
Glucose management
Mineral metabolism, esp in endothelial cells. Reactivation of previous infections like Epstein Barr Virus (mono/EBV), cytomegalovirus or herpes viruses.
I am treating patients with Long Haulers syndrome. It's slow going and frustrating.
For Long Haulers, symptomatic treatment can help with the symptoms. In addition we have to consider the underlying health factors that can influence ongoing health including:
Stimulating adrenal treatments
Methylation of catecholamines and metabolism of brain chemistry
Endothelial cell support
Minerals Energy production and mitochondrial health Immune modulation including cytokine status and inflammation mediator levels

I am suggesting some treatments here though Wellevate. Find the Long Haulers Protocol after you make an account

Dr. Steve Clark ND PLLC has been treating chronic lyme for many years. Chronic lyme disease is a mix of infections, systemic disorders and political baggage. We are full of remorse that we have yet another infection that is causing chronic symptoms fraught with political fighting interspersed with health and scientific misunderstanding.
